The Kimberly Rose Cancer Foundation invites you to enjoy a day of putt-putt

The Kimberly Rose Cancer Foundation, in association with the Momentum Golf Village, introduces the inaugural Cape Town Charity Putt-Putt Challenge – a fun day out for families and friends on Saturday 6th December 2014 across the lush 27-hole putt-putt course situated just off the N1 near Tygervalley Mall.

We’re trying something different, something to get the competitive spirits going but something which appeals to moms, dads, the kids, teenagers and oldies like you and I!

We began planning a golf day but when our inbox filled up with invitations to ones hosted by other charities we wondered how we could be different yet still achieve a similar outcome – and so the idea of a putt-putt day was born.

We encourage groups, agencies, corporates and bloggers to take up the challenge by supporting this great cause in the form of an entry to the Corporate Challenge; while other participant’s battle it out in the General field at the same time.

To make it simple, we’ve kept our groups simplistic and our prices as low as possible – and we’ve ensured there’s something in it for everyone.

General Tickets

Everyone who is anyone is invited to purchase a general ticket to partake in the challenge. Prizes are on offer for a “Hole in One” and plenty more. A food and drink token is included in the price of a ticket to ensure no one goes hungry or thirsty while putting their way to glory!

R100 PER PERSON

Group discount/corporate challenge

Enter a team of FOUR that best represents your company, blog or group of friends – ask your team representatives to dress up in your team colours and show off your style – whether you’re representing a friend fighting an illness, a company you work for or your own social media presence, this option includes everything in a general ticket and even a small discount! Take up the challenge and take home the championship.

R325 Per 4-ball (Add R875 for branding opportunity on one hole)

Corporate Package – Silver

Receive the opportunity to brand three holes on the course in return for your generous contribution toward this day. Receive 12 entries with your package and have your guests battle it out for the official “Your Brand” Trophy, which will be supplied by us at Prize Giving.

R2250 per package

Corporate Package Gold

Make your mark on this, the very first event, with exclusive branding rights. You’ll receive the opportunity to install your branding across the venue as well as on holes 1, 9 and 18 and your brand will even have its own hospitality area. Throw in 24 entries and you’ve got yourself your own mini-tournament consisting of 6 x 4-balls to battle it out for your brand’s bragging rights and trophy.

R12 000 for the package

It’s important to know what we’ll be doing with the money we raise from this event. We have two campaigns on the go in coordination with Red Cross Children’s Hospital; both of which will receive an allocation of funds.

Campaign #1 is to raise funds for Red Cross Children’s Hospital to ensure moms and dads can travel with their children on treatment days. We’ve had first-hand experience of this so to see many children (as young as six months old) not being able to travel with their parents is devastating - we are on a mission to change that!

Campaign #2 is brand new and will kick off over Christmas, entitled “The Tell-A-Story Campaign” – through this we will hand-deliver gift packs to young cancer patients over Christmas and encourage them to use pictures and words to document their journey – the plan is then to collect all the packs and collate all the work, turning it into “The Book of Hope” which will be distributed to chemotherapy treatment rooms throughout the country with the hope of inspiring young cancer sufferers through seeing pictures and reading stories/poems of those who have come before them.

We have many bigger future plans but for now we want to inspire hope as quickly as possible after our fundraisers, hence we have come up with the strategy “you donate, we activate” which portrays our desire to immediately action our causes as soon as we’ve raised funds.

Within this press-pack you’ll find a little something from us to ensure you’re on top form when it comes to the big day – and don’t’ forget to send us pictures (and videos if you dare) of your practice sessions so we can show others what you’re up to and what they’ve got to compete against.

If you have received this pack electronically, please send us your physical address so we can get the physical items to you!

Thank you for your support. We truly hope this event is successful and helps us inspire hope amongst all of our brave cancer patients, their families and their friends.

For more information please feel free to contact me at any time via twitter, mobile phone, e-mail or Facebook.
See you on the putting greens!
